You don’t purchase or adopt a family pet. You have to EARN a family pet.
Our clients are great at telling me what they want or don’t want from their dog. But they rarely talk about what the dog might want or not want from them or the home environment.
When you switch your approach to fulfillment, guidance, and provider (from a dog psychology perspective), it’s easy to then get what you want.
We all have things we MUST have or do in order to be fulfilled. Animals are no different.
When you purchase or adopt an animal, you are purchasing/adopting an ANIMAL that is a specific species that is a specific breed. You have to earn a family pet via fulfillment, leadership, and providing all that’s needed for an animal to be safe and content. And by the way.. YOUR version of safety and contentment is not their version!
Dog psychology first. Dog training (and your personal wants from your dog) come after that. ❤️
