Teach Your Dog to Swim! 🐶 🐠
If you have a pool, you MUST teach your dog to swim AND where the steps are for safety purposes.
If you don’t have a pool, you should teach your dog to swim because it’s fun, bonding, and a great mental/physical challenge!
You’ll see at first Jagger is unsure about the pool. Rather than pull him in, I simply block his flight by holding the leash. But I never pull on him.
He has to participate in the activity of entering the water! Otherwise he will only get more scared.
As the video progresses you’ll see that after just a few reps, Jagger is jumping in on his own and having a blast!
This is a beautiful reminder that our fears can block us from living an amazing life. Don't label your dog as "fearful of water" - it's your job to show them that swimming can be fun! And it could be a lifesaver for you both!
