Our soft, durable, and easy-to-use figure 8 slip lead is the perfect tool to gently but clearly communicate with any dog. Tired of your leather "stopper" either stretching out and not working or being so tight that you can't move it? Our easy-to-use, adjustable slide keeps the loop from slipping down your dog's neck, yet releases slightly when the leash is in the relaxed position. The BDB Leash comes with a back-up or "safety clip" that can be attached to your dog’s collar when you're using the leash in the "Figure-8."We use the figure 8 slip lead every single day in our training sessions, pack walks, and treadmill sessions. Not only are these leads helpful in ensuring your dog doesn't stray, but the slip leash also provides unparalleled comfort for your dog. As the name implies, the figure 8 slip lead slips over your dog’s head and rests comfortably on the shoulders. Unlike other leads, our slip leash doesn’t pitch or cinch providing your dog ultimate comfort and peace of mind. The BDB Slip Leashes are workhorses that are made to last and are a must have for any dog owner.
I work at a shelter & I use leads all day every day. When I tell you these are the best and safest leads I am not kidding! I bought two of them & I absolutely love them!
BDB Slip Lead Leash (3/8'')
Was playing around with the leashes a bit more and actually did figure out how to detach the safety clip and move it to where I needed it, so I am increasing my rating. (Couldn't figure out how to edit my previous review)
So far it seems to work well enough and the clip holds the leash in place at the correct tightness instead of loosening like other leashes. I purchased it for the extra safety clip that attaches to their collar as we have had escapes in the past.
The only problem I immediately have with the leashes however is that the safety clip part that attaches to the collar is sewn in right where the leash should sit at the top, middle part of the neck. This means that their collar ring has to also be on the top of their neck where it doesn't naturally sit due to the weight of the tags and metal ring that naturally go under the dogs neck. This is causing the leash to slide to the side of the neck instead of staying at the top where it is easiest to control and apply the proper pressure and release technique.
All in all, for the price the leash is fulfilling it's purpose and I'll attempt to work with it sliding down, but I wouldn't purchase again unless it was modified so that the safety clip sits under the dogs neck to nature connect to the collar or it is moveable to be placed where each person is most comfortable with it.
I’ve tried a lot of dog leads and harnesses and nothing has worked as well as the bevill! an absolute life changer!
